In the early days, I specialized strongly in ATM development including chip card standards like EMV, but later my field of activity expanded to general software architecture on both the client and server side.
Security aspects have always been an important part of my activities. These include PIN security and secure key transmission, which are required by PCI and defined, for example, by the ANSI TR-31 and TR-34 standards.
Furthermore, I was frequently involved in the implementation of host protocols, most recently according to ISO 20022, but also based on SOAP messages or on binary protocols according to ISO 8583 and related standards.
